This patient portal is designed to work as a stand alone website, or as an adjunct to any of the more common EMR systems. We can easily create either a one way or bi-directional interface that updates the portal and EMR with newly entered data based upon the permissions set for each provider. Currently, this portal contains a provider login that then allows that provider to view or update patient data that has been stored for each of their patients, providing each has given permission for that viewing and/or updating. Patients can determine what portions of their data can be viewed or updated by what providers. Future Plans It is envisioned that there will be a reporting back end to be added to this portal that allows for aggregate reporting over time, summarizing data by region, disease, provider, or statewide allowing for easy integration into more complex reporting systems for the EMR practice.
