This patient portal is designed to allow you, the patient, to selectively give permission to access and update your medical information. When you join the portal, you will be asked to enter in your care providers, (doctors, clinicians, visiting nurses, wellness programs, and the like. For each person or program you will select what portions of your data each will be allowed to see or update. For example, suppose you have a primary care physician that you regularly see. You most likely will give that doctor permission to view all your medical data and to update it accordingly. You might also see a nutritionist who helps you with your diet. That person you may only allow to view your vitals and your general symptoms. But if you join a cardiac care wellness program at the hospital, you may want to allow them to see not only your vitals and symptoms, but also your lab test results.
